FAQs

Q) I am interested in attending the conference, can I just show up?

A) The Pop-Up Art Exhibit on Thursday, May 25th from 5:30–7:30pm is open to the public and does not require any advanced notice. If you are interested in any of the presentations on Friday or Saturday, or would like to attend the Keynote Presentation Friday, May 26th, we would encourage you to register.

Q) What will be in the Pop-Up Exhibit?

A) The exhibit will feature art from the comic Deer Woman, a vignette produced by Native Realities Press. Please be aware that this comic features adult content and material relating to sexual violence and assault; discretion is advised.

Q) Do I have to attend the whole conference?

A) No, you are welcome to attend as much or as little of the conference as you see fit, however we would still ask that you register in order to help us manage space and resources.

Q) Do I need to bring anything special?

A) If you are a student, you will need your ID for entry. For all other attendees, you do not need to do anything special other than to have previously registered.

Q) I'm driving in and I am not part of the UNT community, is there parking?

A) There are a number of options for visitors, read more about parking information here. There is also free street parking on most of the streets surrounding campus, e.g. Hickory, Oak, etc. (although be aware that near Fry street parking is metered). Because we are outside of term time this may be a viable option but you should count on having to walk anywhere from 5–10 minutes.
